It’s often the elephant in the room at an event production meeting: Crisis Management. Nobody wants to talk about it. Nobody wants to admit they might need it. Nobody wants to think about something going wrong.
Perhaps people are worried that if they speak up about crisis prevention they’ll be viewed as insecure or pessimistic. Or maybe they don’t want to jinx the show with a subconscious doubt, or leave a fear of the unknown to lurk at the back of everyone’s minds…
But we say: embrace it! The only way to counter fear is with confrontation. Dealing with issues. Anticipating any problems and taking the right steps to tackle them when they arrive. Only then will you have a team that feels confident, progressive and forward-thinking.
